U.K. author Frank Cottrell Boyce has been signed by Walden Media to adapt his kids' novel "Cosmic" into a feature film.

"Cosmic," currently on the short list for the U.K. Carnegie Award, is about a boy, who is often mistaken as an adult because of an early growth spurt. In the book, he poses as his best friend's father to get a seat on an experimental spaceship ride. It was published by Walden Pond Press, a joint venture between Walden Media and HarperCollins.
