Agents promoted a broad slate of brands at the Licensing International Expo. Show aisles were lined with unique new offerings, expanding brands that sometimes touted a refreshed look and evergreen franchises. i1_789.jpg

"Pinkalicious," the book series published by HarperCollins, is building a strong licensing program in partnership with agent The Joester Loria Group. HarperCollins will be publishing six "Pinkalicious" titles through 2011. The brand has also signed with master apparel partner Success Apparel for girls' apparel for holiday 2010.

Other brands in the JLG stable making news include Amp with a collection of Amp Energy cell phone chargers and flashlights with licensee TNT Sales Golden. There are 22 Amp Energy SKUs in more than 1,100 retail outlets, including Coremark, Valero and Extramart. For 2010, the line will add cell phone cases, hands-free headsets, ear buds, headphone splitters, AC/DC converters and auxiliary cables. i2_431.jpg

CopCorp Licensing was promoting a number of properties, including The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. The agency believes the brand offers a variety of posters, photos, costume designs, set designs, prop designs and venue signage that can translate into a robust licensing program.

Another brand repped by CopCorp, the (not so) Scary Monsters, announced a deal with Fisher-Price for a line of plush dolls. The nationwide launch marks the first time licensed products will be available at stores across America.

Pink Cookie is expanding as a fashion brand. Corsair Toiletries will produce cosmetics, fragrances and hair accessories in the U.K. and Ireland. Geneva Watch Group and Peers Hardy will manufacture watches across a number of global markets. i3_278.jpgi3_t_98.jpg

CopCorp Licensing announced three new licensees for Barcode Kitties, kitten characters with bar code whiskers. In France, Imprima will manufacture and market wall stickers in a deal brokered by MJA Licensing. In Germany, Helmut Lingen will manufacture and market children's wristwatches, alarm clocks and wall clocks for sale in Austria and Switzerland in a deal brokered by CPLG Germany. In Japan, Cardamom International will make and sell a range of Barcode Kitties products including stuffed toys, cosmetic cases, backpacks, beach sandals, blankets, chairs, mirrors and photo frames in a deal brokered by MediaLink.

Nancy Bailey & Associates was at the expo promoting the Energizer and Eveready brands. Trau & Loevner has been signed to produce Energizer Bunny tees, fleece and hoodies. The Energizer Bunny turned 21 at the expo, launched a Facebook page and has accumulated 10 licensees in categories from portable power packs to solar panels.

NBA is the exclusive licensing agency for the Eveready brand and retro "Cat & 9" logo and announced two new clients: Nesquik and Arby's.

Brandgenuity was named the licensing agency for Harlequin Enterprises Limited, specialists in series romance. Potential categories may include gifts, collectibles and other merchandise. Harlequin releases more than 110 titles each month.

Licensing Works! announced new licensing partners for its properties. "Puppy In My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville," a new animated television series produced in HD, is set to debut in late 2010 in Italy and worldwide in 2011. The brand is licensed with toy distribution partners in more than 50 countries. Tarzan is celebrating his centennial anniversary in 2012. New licensing initiatives include electronic publishing, novels, comics and a feature film. "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" is readying new comic books, a Web series, radio dramas and a new feature film.
