In March 2012, to coincide with the London Olympics, the V&A will stage an ambitious exhibition, British Design 1948–2012. It will be the first exhibit to celebrate post-war British art and design and will reveal the depth and quality of the V&A’s collections, ranging across all media and including designers who were born, trained or worked in Britain.
The exhibit is also an opportunity to license groundbreaking designs, some of which have never been displayed before, including textiles from the 50s, 60s and 70s. These designs have huge commercial potential and are ideal for application to a wide variety of product categories. V&A Licensing will be talking about this and other opportunities at Brand Licensing Europe.
V&A Licensing has a global reach and works with partners carefully selected for the quality of their products, their distribution and synergy with the V&A brand. Partners gain privileged access to the V&A’s extensive archives, research, design, curatorial expertise and provenance.
The V&A is one of the world’s greatest museums of art and design with millions of amazing artifacts, including world class collections of glass, textiles, graphics, photography, jewelry and fashion. V&A Licensing is a leader in British heritage licensing.
Product categories include jewelry, accessories, ceramic tableware and interior furnishings created for retailers in the U.K. and abroad.
