With archives that span more than 2,000 years and across multiple time periods, V&A has design styles and media for furniture, glass, ceramics, textiles, costumes, photography and musical instruments that are licensed to more than 80 licensees globally. Recent licensees include London's Chucs (swimwear), Meri Meri (stationery), Westiminster Fibers (fabrics) and Ethel Gloves (accessories) and Creative Tops (tableware).
V&A Licensing encourages an imaginative, contemporary approach. Some products reproduce the original designs, while others are adapted. The balance of old/new, technology/traditional, plain/pattern make V&A stand out from its competitors. All profits go to help fund the museum's activities.
