Amy Taylor was recently promoted by Universal Partnerships & Licensing to executive vice president where she will continue to manage North American promotions, worldwide licensing and more.

In addition, Taylor will also oversee worldwide digital and interactive activities and retail development for Universal Pictures and Focus Features. She handles classic properties such as Curious George and Scarface, as well as new efforts for upcoming films Battleship and Stretch Armstrong, in collaboration with Hasbro. As senior vice president, Taylor led the licensing efforts for Universal Pictures' and Illumination Entertainment's Despicable Me, in theaters now. Prior to this, she held senior leadership roles at the company, helping to launch programs for a number of films including King Kong, The Incredible Hulk, Mamma Mia!, The Fast & The Furious, Jurassic Park and E.T.

"Amy has played an integral role in securing some of the largest and most innovative licensing and promotional partnerships in Universal's history," says Elizabeth Sperber, president of UP&L. "She and her team have led the way in developing and implementing retail and licensing programs that have raised the profile of our films and this studio over the years and this is a well-deserved promotion."

Before joining Universal, Taylor served in marketing positions at Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Hanna-Barbera, and was responsible for Cartoon Network and Turner properties including Scooby-Doo, The Power Puff Girls, Dexter's Lab, The Flintstones and Tom and Jerry.
