Univision Signs Teen Star

Univision Communications has announced that they have signed 13-year-old triple threat Gabriela Borges to expand her brand around the globe.

The multi-year licensing and marketing deal will build on Borges singing, acting and dancing talents, as well as her sense of fashion. Univision retains the rights to represent Borges around the world exclusively.

First initiatives will look to expand her brand to consumer products, music, live tours and more.

“Not only is Gaby Borges a consummate actress, singer and dancer, she has a youthful exuberance and style that will resonate with many of today’s young Hispanics,” says Rick Alessandri, executive vice president of Enterprise Development, Univision Communications. “As a company, we have always been at the forefront of partnering with talented personalities. Given we have been working with Gaby since age 9, we believe she is precisely the type of young talent that will continue our great tradition, and more importantly speak to today’s generation of young Latinas.”

Borges is best known for her roles in the novelas “Eva Luna,” “Corazón Valiente” and the recent Christmas special “Si Virginia,

un Cuento Navideño.” Borges has also won international dance competitions, been a part of the Miami Heat and Florida Marlins youth dance groups and is a member of the music group B-Kids.
