The opening for
Despicable Me
was the second best for a non-Pixar, original animated film behind
Kung Fu Panda
(2008). It is slated to premiere this fall in Europe.
Despicable Me's licensing program through Universal Partnerships and Licensing includes D3Publisher for a video game, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers for publishing, Namco Networks for an iPhone and iPod touch game app, Hallmark for stationery and social expressions, Hybrid for apparel, Aquarius Entertainment for posters and calendars, Ceaco for puzzles, Rubie's Costume Company for Halloween costumes, DecoPac for bakery goods and Toy Factory for amusement plush.
