Richard Barry has been named senior vice president, chief merchandising officer, Toys 'R' Us, U.S. Prior to this promotion, Barry served as vice president, general merchandising manager for Toys 'R' Us, U.S., overseeing the Learning and Electronics and Entertainment product categories. He joined the company in 1985. In his new role, Barry reports to Jerry Storch, chairman and chief executive officer, Toys 'R' Us.

Lisa Harnisch has been appointed senior vice president, general merchandising manager, toys, overseeing the merchandising function for the core toy, seasonal and learning product categories. Prior to this promotion, she served as vice president, general merchandising manager, core toy and seasonal. In her new position, Harnisch will report to Barry.

"With these promotions, we are pleased to acknowledge the many contributions to our business by two talented merchandising executives," says Storch. "We look forward to their leadership in advancing our specialist position in the toy and baby product categories."
