Paramount Pictures and Qualcomm Labs have teamed up for an app for the upcoming J.J. Abrams film
Star Trek into Darkness
. Through the use of audio scans, geo-location and image recognition technology, the “Star Trek into Darkness” app will enable users to actively engage with materials from the film. The app will launch later this month, with additional experiences added as the film’s May 17 release date nears. Among those will be the ability to unlock mystery content while viewing the film’s trailer on TV.
Sesame Workshop Mobile Educational Content
Qualcomm has also partnered with Sesame Workshop for a new long-term collaboration to develop mobile learning applications

Impecca launched its new line of Fruit Ninja-branded kids’ electronics, a deal brokered by game developer Halfbrick’s worldwide agent, HAP Consulting. The line includes Bluetooth speakers, USB drives, ear buds, headphones, speakers, bags and cases for a range of electronics.

Tim Tebow Headphones
Soul Electronics will debut its new Tim Tebow line of headphones this week, created in collaboration with the New York Jets quarterback. Tebow will also make an appearance for the product launch in the Soul Electronics booth, Thursday.

Mimoco has partnered with Elvis Presley Enterprises for two Elvis Mimobot USB flash drives–Elvis Aloha from Hawaii and Army Elvis. The product was launched Tuesday, on what would have been the King of Rock’s 78th birthday, and will be part of the Mimoco’s Legends Mimobot collection, which also features Albert Einstein and Bruce Lee. The drives come preloaded with bonus Elvis Presley-branded content, including archival Elvis interviews, photographs, wallpapers, icons, and avatars and play a classic Elvis tune when inserted or ejected.
