Worldwide game developer Capcom and The Licensing Agency (TLA) have paired up to launch a new prepaid card program—the Capcom Unity Visa Card.

This is the first time a video game company in the U.S. has offered a co-branded Visa rewards card initiative. The card will feature art and images from popular game titles such as Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter IV and Bionic Commando.

The highlights of the user-funded prepaid debit card include:

  • Five Capcom Unity points for every dollar spent to be redeem at capcom-unity-card.com

  • A one-half percent earning of cash back from all signature purchases, which qualify for rewards through the BSP Rewards Network with more than 750 partners, including iTunes, BestBuy.com, Target.com and others

  • "Jump the line" perks at Capcom events and access to beta tests of new Capcom titles

The deal is also planning experimental rewards for cardholders, including being written into a Capcom game or comic book, or being an extra in a Capcom movie.
