The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.
The movie will hit U.S. theaters on Dec. 23, 2001, and internationally in late October and November 2011. Sony Pictures International will handle distribution in continental Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America and India, while Paramount will oversee its release in Asia, Australia, the U.K. and all other English-speaking territories.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn,
the first in a planned series, began production in January. It is directed by Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy. The film, based on the 1929 book series by Georges "Herge" Remi, stars Jamie Bell (
Billie Elliot)
as Tintin, Daniel Craig (
Quantum of Solace)
and others. The sequel is to be directed by Jackson and a third installment is also being considered.
