Zodiak Kids has appointed Vivid Imaginations as master toy licensee for the new Nick Jr. preschool show “Tickety Toc,” produced by Zodiak Kids’ production company The Foundation and Korea-based FunnyFlux Entertainment.

As master toy partner, Vivid will hold distribution rights for U.K. and Eire, France, Germany, Iberia, Benelux and Nordics, in addition to global manufacturing rights outside North America, Japan and Korea.

Vivid Imaginations will launch a range of toys in the U.K. and France beginning in fall 2013. The range will include plush, collectable figures, playsets, puzzles and track and vehicle play based on “Tickety Toc” characters such as the twins Tommy & Tallulah and the puppy-dog train Pufferty.

“We’re delighted to have a British toy company of Vivid’s caliber on board,” says Alastair McHarrie, vice president of sales, consumer products, Zodiak Kids London. “With their experience and enthusiasm, I’m confident they will develop a successful line of toys which capture the fun and energy of ‘Tickety Toc.’”

Zodiak Kids controls worldwide rights for “Tickety Toc” except in Korea and Japan.

“Tickety Toc” launched on Nick Jr. in the U.K. this April and is set to launch on milkshake! and France 5 in the fall. Other broadcasters that have picked up the 52-episode series include Disney Junior (Canada), TG4 (Ireland), NRK Super (Norway), YLE (Finland) and Pop TV (Slovenia).
