Techno Source, a division of LF Products, and FremantleMedia Enterprises inked a deal that will bring Loteria, Mexico’s most popular family board game, to the U.S. market.

Techno Source will produce the game, which will be available for purchase at mass and specialty retailers in spring 2012.

Sold for more than 200 years, Loteria is a classic bingo-style game of chance that uses colorful, iconic images of Mexican culture on playing cards.

“Loteria is one of the most important and beloved games in Latin America,” says Eric Levin, division head, Techno Source. “It transcends generations and cultures with its simple and exciting game play that appeals to kids, adults and families. We are so pleased to be able to bring this best-selling game to its fans here in the United States via their favorite mass market retailers.”

“We are excited to work with Techno Source to bring the Loteria family board game with its deep cultural roots and recognizable imagery to families in the U.S.,” says Naz Cuevas, senior manager of consumer products, FME. “Their marketing expertise and vast distribution network will allow us to reach the young Hispanic market, the fastest growing segment in the U.S. with more than 44 million people, and also broaden the audience for this historic brand.”
