An exclusive one-day online sale at Target.com with holiday season-like savings will take place this Friday.

An average of 40 percent off will be offered online only on a wide variety of product categories, including apparel, electronics, toys, housewares, movies, music and books. Twenty-five percent off will be offered on bedding and clothing from the Liberty of London for Target collection.

Last week, Toys"R"Us announced a Christmas in July promotion, including free shipping at Toyrus.com. The retailer is marking down prices on its popular toys and is offering daily deals. TRU is also holding a Cyber Monday on July 26.
