Target Entertainment has appointed Lindsay Pearl as its director of licensing and children’s acquisitions.

Pearl will join Target in June to represent the company at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. Pearl will be responsible for acquiring new kids content while also heading up Target’s licensing & merchandising division, which includes the management of the prestigious Sony PlayStation portfolio.

Pearl recently worked at Hasbro as director of international acquisitions and licensing. Prior to this she was territory manager for Central & Eastern Europe, Turkey and Greece at Cartoon Network, and director of business development at HIT Entertainment for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“Pearl has a formidable track record in the children’s content business,” says Alison Rayson, Target Entertainment’s chief executive. “Not only is she a strong sales negotiator but she also has a talent for acquisitions and brings with her a wealth of experience gained at such market leaders as HIT and Hasbro. I am thrilled to welcome her to the Target team and look forward to working with her to grow Target’s dynamic consumer products business."
