Victorious," Nickelodeon's latest live-action show, launched on Monday with a 15.5 percent share of viewing among kids ages 4 to 15, meaning Nickelodeon was the No. 1 channel (beating all other channels including terrestrials) for kids in its time slot and 70 percent ahead of the nearest kids' competitor channel.
So far, 1.3 million viewers have tuned into the show since launch. The ratings echo an equally successful U.S. launch. Starring Victoria Justice, the new show follows her character, Tori Vega, as she's discovered at Hollywood Arts, a prestigious performing arts school in America. "Victorious" is a co-production with Sony Music and is created and executive produced by Dan Schneider ("iCarly" and "Zoey 101"). The series features original music by Victoria Justice and the ensemble cast.
