Major retailers across the country–including Target, Toys ‘R’ Us and Walmart–are gearing up for Marvel’s upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man, set to be released July 3.

Target has announced a partnership with Marvel Entertainment to feature a variety of The Amazing Spider-Man-themed products in stores and online, promoted with interactive floor graphics in locations across the country. Spider-Man gear will be featured in special online boutique.

“Marvel fans can’t get enough of the Spider-Man franchise and are eager to share in the excitement of the new The Amazing Spider-Man adventure,” says Mark Rhodes, senior vice president of North American retail development, Marvel Entertainment. “Our partnership with Target allows us to reach these loyal fans across the country and let them interact with the film through an assortment of Spidey-themed gear.”

Products will include a wide range of toys, clothing, bedding, decor, DVDs, comic books, party decorations, entertainment items and apparel.”

As License! Global previously reported, Walmart announced a similar partnership earlier this month that includes more than 1,000 licensed products, as well as special events and exclusive offerings. Read the full article here.

Toys ‘R’ Us boasts the broadest selection of toys inspired by the upcoming film, including games, role play accessories, furniture, bikes and electronics.

The full range of available products is being displayed in themed boutiques in stores nationwide, with a similar online boutique for web customers.

And in celebration of the web-slinging hero’s return to New York, Toys ‘R’ Us Times Square has set up a supersized boutique featuring movie props such Spider-Man’s mask and web shooters.
