The Original SoupMan–inspiration for the infamous "Soup" episode on “Seinfeld”–is heading to the shelves of Safeway.

Four flavors of The Original SoupMan soup are now available at Safeway and Safeway-owned grocery stores across the U.S.

Featuring the same obsessive perfectionism and eclectic varieties for which the brand is famous, the first four flavors available in the line include lobster bisque, chicken noodle, lentil and tomato bisque.

In 1984, The Original SoupMan opened its doors at 55th Street & 8th Avenue in Manhattan. The tiny storefront quickly became a worldwide destination, rated No. 1 by Zagat and praised by The New York Times as "Art, not Soup." The company's franchise operations now include locations at Mohegan Sun casinos and branded soup offerings at QSRs like Tim Horton's.
