Sony Pictures has added to its roster of international agents representing consumer products and theatrical promotions in anticipation of its theatrical releases in 2013 and 2014, which will include After Earth; The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. New agents will also represent Sony Pictures’ classic film and television library.

New agents with promotional and licensing rights for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, After Earth and the Sony classic portfolio, as well as licensing rights to The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones include Bulls Press for Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland; Infiniss for Korea; and Tuesday Licensing and Entertainment for Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.

Megalicense has also been appointed to represent licensing for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in Russia.

In addition, Gustavo Antonioni, based in Sony’s London office, will be doing direct licensing deals for the EMEA region and the U.K. for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

Megalicense and Antonioni join existing The Mortal Instruments representatives Lizenszwerft Brands and Characters in G/A/S; Planeta Junior in Iberia, Greece and Eastern Europe; Backstage in Italy; Bradford License in India; Forward Licensing in the Middle East; FremantleMedia in Australia and New Zealand; BR licensing in Brazil; and IMC in Argentina.

“Our films and brands have global awareness and reach. As such, we have partnered with agencies that have capabilities in both entertainment and brand licensing in order to execute the right programs locally for the Sony portfolio,” says Greg Economos, senior vice president, consumer products, Sony Pictures. “We are happy to welcome these new members to the Sony family and look forward to establishing an even bigger global footprint for our brands.”
