'Smash' Soundtrack Album Drops May 1

The album, which draws from the series produced by Universal Television in partnership with DreamWorks Television and Madwoman in the Attic, will feature series stars Katherine McPhee, Megan Hilty and other cast members performing original music from the show, as well pop tunes adapted for the show.

The soundtrack will be available for pre-order on Amazon.com and at Barnes & Noble and be available for purchase wherever music is sold.

NBCUniversal Televison Consumer Products brokered the deal. Joy Tashjian Marketing Agency will represent the series’ licensing program as the second season gets underway.
