The new range, which will be available across the U.K., features cards as well as wrap, tags, notepaper and postcards. The collection, designed by The Art Group, focuses on Sindy’s vintage appeal and her styles over the last 50 years.
“The Art Group have used the wealth of Sindy assets available to produce a really spectacular and stylish greetings range,” says Rob Corney, managing director, Bulldog. “It is certain to have huge appeal at retail and will add to the buzz surrounding what is a very hot brand at present.”
The new greetings range adds to an expanding Sindy program that includes Poetic Gem for apparel, Helen Rochfort for handbags and Diablo Skinz for electronics covers.
Bulldog is also currently targeting sectors that tie in with Sindy’s presence in the fashion world, such as perfume, accessories, jewelry and footwear. Discussions are currently underway with licensees
The Sindy doll was first launched in the U.K. in 1963 and has since sold 150 million dolls worldwide. 2012 marks Sindy’s 50th anniversary. Bulldog plans to commemorate the anniversary with a variety of events, including the publication of a book that will explore Sindy’s influence on the world of style.
