MerryMakers has been tapped by Scholastic Media to produce a line of plush dolls and finger puppets based on kids' book series "Fly Guy."
The dolls, which will retail for $10 each, will be available at retail in September.
Scholastic's "Fly Guy" currently has 1.3 million books in print. The next title, "Fly Guy #9: Fly Guy and Buzz Boy," is scheduled to release this fall. The first book in the series, "Hi! Fly Guy" was the recipient of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award in 2006 and "I Spy Fly Guy" received a 2010 Geisel Honor Award. Another title, "Fly High, Fly Guy" is available for the Tag reading system from Leap Frog.
