MGA Entertainment has signed on as master toy licensee in North and Latin America for d-rights’ “Scan2Go,” just as Cartoon Network has picked up the galactic racing property, set to air in the U.S. this fall.

“Scan2Go” is a boy’s anime action-adventure series, currently aired in Spain, Portugal and Italy and comes from the director of other popular boy’s series like “Beyblade” and “Dragonball Z.”

MGA Entertainment plans to release a range of toys this fall, in conjunction with U.S. premiere of the seires. The line will include vehicles, figures, racing tracks and sets, cards, play sets, games, role play toys, arts & crafts, plush and novelty items under a license agreement from NewBoy FZCO, the master toy licensee for the brand.

“MGA is thrilled to partner with Cookie Jar Group to bring Scan2Go toys and accessories to toy retailers and consumers in the U.S. for the very first time,” says Isaac Larian, chief executive officer, MGA Entertainment. “This is our first entry in the boy’s market and we are certain Scan2Go will be as big in the Americas as it is in Europe. We’ve watched the international success of Scan2Go and are confident the excitement of this highly-acclaimed entertainment property will translate to U.S. audiences.”

Cookie Jar, programming distributor for “Scan2Go” will be presenting is presenting the brand in Booth 3978 at Licensing Expo this week in Las Vegas, Nev.
