The United Nations Population Fund, Sanrio, UNIQLO and other partners have teamed up for The Hellosmile Project, a campaign to prevent cervical cancer. The U.S. launch of the campaign took place Thursday with a kickoff reception at the Sanrio Times Square store. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the risks of cervical cancer and promote efforts to prevent it worldwide. As part of the campaign, proceeds from a portion of UNIQLO products and Hello Kitty t-shirts will support UNFPA’s work on cervical cancer prevention.
