Kidsco Media Ventures, an affiliate of Saban Brands, has acquired the CW Network’s five-hour Saturday morning kids programming block and has plans to revitalize and rebrand the children’s line up.

Kidsco plans to anchor their programming with key franchises Power Rangers and Yu-Gi-Oh!, but has also hinted at the addition of new action-adventure and comedy series. The new, rebranded block will begin airing on The CW this fall.

"We are very excited to partner with Haim Saban and Saban Brands, an individual and a company with a celebrated history of creating and distributing world-class children's programming," says John Maatta, chief operating officer, CW. "The association with Saban and the programming and marketing they will bring to us will be a great asset for The CW and its affiliates on Saturday mornings."

"Saban Brands is back in the kids' television business in a big way," says Elie Dekel, president, Saban Brands. "The broadcasting block represents a unique opportunity for us to be the premier destination for action/adventure and comedy on Saturday mornings, while delivering what kids want online and on mobile 24/7/365."

Saban expects to reach 110 million households through its new partnership and plans to launch a new website in conjunction with the cartoon block. Saban will assume responsibility for selling ads in the block, a portion of which will go to CW in exchange for the airtime.
