Saban Brands has announced that its new Saturday-morning programming block on the CW will be called Vortexx. Saban plans to launch robust website and mobile offerings in conjunction with the TV content, which begins airing on the CW Aug. 25.

“Vortexx will have the shows that our audience knows and loves, with a mix that is very different from anything else–a programming lineup that features electrifying moments of action and humor, and stories that feature characters that are larger than life, but also very relatable,” says Elie Dekel, president, Saban Brands. “And when you consider the fact that Vortexx will be so much more than a broadcast outlet–delivering what kids want online and on mobile 24/7/365–this new entertainment venue represents something very exciting for brands and advertisers interested in reaching this audience across 114 million households on-air, and more online and on mobile.”

The 5-hour national children’s line-up will be anchored by key franchises Power Rangers and

Yu-Gi-Oh. To read more about Saban’s acquisition of the CW programming block, click
