MTV Networks International and OJSC WebTV, a part of WebMediaGroup, have announced a deal to distribute 14 seasons of "South Park" online on one of Russia's largest entertainment video portals Zoomby.ru.
This is the first online distribution of "South Park" in Russia and Zoomby.ru is the first website licensed to distribute the animated series on the market. The content is available free to users online.
"We see huge potential in expanding our legal distribution in Russia to reach wherever users want to watch our shows whether by television, video on demand, online or mobile," says Nicholas Walters, general manager in Russia for MTVNI. "Our partnership with Zoomby is hence an important step in this direction and we look forward to seeing a lot more to come."
