Beginning in January 2013 Scholastic will launch a series of stories based on real-life animal rescues:
Little Lost Hedgehog, Puppy Gets Stuck and Lamb All Alone
. Each story features fictional characters, but tells the true story of the RSPCA’s involvement in an animal rescue. Additional titles will be published each season.
In January 2014 the non-fiction strand begins with
All About…
, a series of animal welfare books that will give children advice and information on caring for cats, dogs and horses, as well as rabbits and other small pets.
March 2013 will see the arrival of a series of sticker books for younger readers (ages 4 to 5) featuring wildlife, pet and farm babies.
