The British royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton inspired wedding-related memorabilia and promotional products estimated to earn $2.8 billion, according to a U.K. tabloid.

Other brands featuring royal wedding products on QVC include smashbox make-up kits, Topps trading cards, Isaac Mizrahi clothing, Mad by Design handbags, The Royal Mint U.K. commemorative coins and Caverswall China cups and plates.

Even Disney’s United Kingdom pavilion

at Epcot sold a replica of Kate’s engagement ring, as well as t-shirts, ornaments, perfume and other items.

In the U.K., manufacturers produced mugs, plates, pens, compacts, ashtrays, shot glasses, book marks, reusable bags and car flags, The Advertising Specialty Institute reported.

"As one of the most significant pop culture events of our time, the Royal Wedding has sparked a level of intrigue in almost all of us," says Jane Treacy, QVC program host.
