Spanish toy producer E-Max has teamed up with Rovio Entertainment for a series of Angry Birds “pocket money” toys for Europe and several other international markets.
The line will include a trading card game and sticker collection with album.
“We are excited and delighted to be working alongside Rovio on such an important license as Angry Birds,” says Anna Sanfeliu, sales and marketing manager, E-Max. “The potential is absolutely huge, and following the highly successful launch of our Moshi Monsters clay buddies product last year, further reiterates our company’s strategy to be at the forefront of collectable manufacturing with the best licenses around.”
The sticker collection will be launched Aug. 24 and will be followed by the trading card game on Sept. 27.
“These are potentially amongst the biggest launches in the U.K. this autumn,” says Mark Hillier, managing director, Click Distribution, E-Max’s exclusive U.K. distributor. “The collectables market is currently very strong, and we have no doubt that the Angry Birds collections will be right up there with the fastest-selling collections.”
