Rocket Licensing will handle U.K. licensing for Hugh Jackman's upcoming film Real Steel, an action drama about the fictional sport of robot boxing. The film's fighting machines are expected to inspire a range of collectable figures, play sets and toys.

Rocket's U.K. campaign has signed licensing partners to produce posters, trading cards and dedicated Real Steel artwork. The campaign will extend into key product categories such as apparel, nightwear and underwear, print and paper goods, party ware, gifting, accessories, house wares, textiles, computer and cell phone accessories, and food and drink.

Featuring special effects and fight scenes, Real Steel focuses on a former boxer (Jackman) who gets one last shot at a comeback when he teams up with his estranged son to build and train the perfect contender for the new high-tech sport of robot boxing.
