The Collective has appointed Rocket Licensing to represent Internet phenomenon “Annoying Orange” in the U.K. and Ireland.

The brand has already proven its licensing potential in the U.S. with apps, t-shirts and novelty toys and games. A range of talking toys from The Bridge launched at Toys ‘R’ Us and specialty stores in 2011.

Rocket Licensing will develop the U.K. licensing campaign across a wide range of merchandise including toys and gifts, apparel, amusement plush, backpacks, headwear, housewares (especially kitchenware), apps, physical games and novelty gifting and accessories.

The brand, which started as a web series, launched a TV series on Cartoon Network in the U.S. on June 11. Negotiations are currently taking place to secure a local broadcast partner in the U.K.

With more than one billion views on YouTube, “Annoying Orange” is the world’s most watched web series.
