Hodder Children’s Books has launched five new titles written and illustrated by Thompson, also the creator of Felicity Wishes. The range includes storybooks, a novelty book and a pop-up book.
“Princess Pearl brings together all the essential elements of a little girl's imagination–princesses, friendship and a touch of magic,” says Emma Layfield, picture book publisher, Hodder Children’s Books. “Felicity Wishes was an international hit for us, selling over 5 million copies, and we hope that Princess Pearl will be just as successful.”
At the same time, British retailer Marks and Spencer has released a Princess Pearl nightdress and pajama range. The range was designed for M&S by design management group Watermelon and features images of Princess Pearl and a “pearl of wisdom” on the inside collar. M&S has also debutedan exclusive new range of Tigerprint Princess Pearl cards.
Rocket expects to expand the nightwear range into underwear and outerwear, and also has plans to expand the brand into home furnishings, stationery, toys and gifts in the future.
