DHX Media and its subsidiary Wildbrain Entertainment have signed a deal with Immediate Media for a magazine title based on its preschool TV series, “Rastamouse.”

The magazine will launch in June with new titles every four weeks thereafter.

Rastamouse magazine is a very exciting addition to our preschool magazine portfolio,” says Pauline Cooke, publisher, Immediate media. “It’s a really original program, from its storylines, to the look and feel. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating this magazine and we’re sure it will add something different to the market, that children will love.”

The magazine will feature stories, reward charts and stickers based on the stop-frame animated series, which currently airs on CBeebies and BBC’s iPlayer.

“Rastamouse’s unique brand of charm continues to attract new fans and partners to the property,” says Angeles Blanco, director of licensing, DHX Media. “The launch of Immediate Media’s standalone Rastamouse title will complement the products in the market and bring… an extra helping of Easy Crew entertainment and activities to fans of the country’s foremost skate-boarding musical mouse.”
