A line of coloring and activity books based on the World of Eric Carle will hit North America soon through a new deal with Random House Children's Books.

The range for summer 2011 will include "Color My World," "The Very Busy Doodle Book" and "The World of Eric Carle Big Coloring Book."

"Eric Carle's books are beloved by generations of readers, and we are thrilled to add to the extraordinary property with these entertaining formats," says Dennis Shealy, editorial director of Random House/Golden Books Young Readers Group, an editorial division of Random House Children's Books. "It's a new way for parents and kids to interact with Eric Carle's distinctive work."
