Rainbow has inked a multi-territory master toy deal with Giochi Preziosi for Huntik. In addition, Rainbow is investing $10 million in the second season of its boy’s property.

The toy deal covers Europe, the U.K. and Russia for action figures, role play and play sets. The roll out will coincide with the new “Huntik” episodes this year. In Italy, where the second series debuts this fall, Giochi Preziosi will distribute merchandise from several categories, including back-to-school and gifts.

In addition, Huntik-themed attractions will appear at Rainbow Magicland Theme Park, including the first 4D attraction in Europe, Dark Ride. Rainbow now owns 100 percent of the rights to the property, including in the U.K. and U.S.

“We are delighted to enter yet another partnership with Giochi Preziosi for ‘Huntik, Secrets and Seekers,’” says Iginio Straffi, founder and chief executive officer of Rainbow. “This series is an extremely important brand for Rainbow, with huge potential and we are confident that Giochi Preziosi will, once again, contribute to make our property an international success.”
