Paramount parent Viacom recently acquired 30 percent of Rainbow with plans to broadcast future Rainbow TV programming on Nickelodeon and distribute future films through Paramount. Rainbow and Paramount are currently in discussions with high profile actors for the voices of the main characters of Not Born to be Gladiators.

"It’s a big opportunity for an independent producer to get a quality 3D CGI-animated comedy to a studio level, we  hope  to represent a new step forward for European animation in terms of quality and international success," says Iginio Straffi, founder of Rainbow Studio.
