M.E.G. and Giochi Preziosi have partnered with 505 Games for a series of Puppy In My Pocket multi-platform videogames.

The deal was brokered by Licensing Works (on behalf of M.E.G. and Giochi Preziosi) and Creative Minx Marketing (on behalf of 505 Games).

The games will be based on the TV series “Puppy In My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville,” which airs worldwide on Cartoon Network. The series is produced by M.E.G. and Giochi Preziosi along with Mondo TV.

“The ‘Puppy In My Pocket’ television show features all the key touch points that resonate with kids,” says Joe Morrison, chief executive officer, M.E.G. “Adventure, magic, friendship, magical environments and the matching of kids with their very own special pet.  The show content includes so many terrific characters and adventures, which will inspire games we know kids will love to play.”

505 Games is planning a series of games for both handheld devices and mobile systems, including iOS and Android. The games are slated to debut in 2013.

“Publishing ‘Puppy In My Pocket’ video games allows us to bring fans their first interactive experience,” says Ian Howe, president, 505 Games, North America. “We will be collaborating closely with all partners to capture the brand’s adventure and friendship in order to create an authentic experience.”

505 Games joins a roster of more than 50 licensees including North American toy distribution partner, Jakks Pacific and franchise licensee Scholastic Publishing.
