The agreement covers both the original franchise, primarily aimed at the older fan base of teens and adults, as well as the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property based on the upcoming CG-animated series for kids 6-11 years old.

The new TV series will launch on Nickelodeon U.S. in Q4 2012, with an international launch from Q1 2013 and new episodes ordered through 2015. Publisher IDW and Nickelodeon have a long-term commitment to reboot the franchise with comics and graphic novels, which launched in the U.S. in August.

"We’re happy to once again be working with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," says Plus Licens’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand manager Camilla Olin. "Plus Licens represented the brand in the Nordic countries and CEE already when it first grew to become one of the biggest entertainment franchises of all time, and we look forward to making new deals for this property–both the classic Legacy program and the new CG-animated heroes for a new generation!"
