With the anticipation of new entertainment releases, Playmates Toys has added several new toy lines to its portfolio.

There is a new line of collectible Star Trek toys for the upcoming May release of Paramount Pictures' Star Trek, including life-like figures, vehicles, playsets and role-play toys. The movie will focus on the early careers of the Starfleet and is directed by J.J. Abrams.

Another May feature film release, Terminator Salvation, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Sony Pictures will have a collectible toy line, including action figures, vehicles, role-play items, Terminator T-600 Voice 'n' Vision Skull with light-up eyes and voice changer, and Terminator Deluxe T-600 Fist with sounds and vibration features.

Playmates Toys will also launch a line of "Yu-Gi-Oh!" toys; including D-Wheels, motorcycle-type vehicles; a signature wrist dealer to complement the Upper Deck trading card game; and 5.5" figures. The newest 4Kids Entertainment series "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's" airs on Saturdays on the CW Network.

Another CW Kids series "Dinosaur King" has a toy line in development, which will include dinosaur figures, role-play items, rip-cord activated dinosaurs and exclusive cards to be used with the Upper Deck trading card game. In addition to the Upper Deck trading card game, the series also has a Sega video game.

And, to mark the 25^th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book in 2009, Playmates Toys has created action figures based on the new TV series on Fox and the CW, a new line of mini-mutant figures and vehicles. The toy maker will also reintroduce the original 1987 action figure line in special 25^th anniversary packaging.
