"The Pinky and Perky Show" is getting a second airing on the U.K.'s BBC over the summer on the children's CBBC channel and on BBC2. The first season is now out on DVD.

The show premiered on CBBC in November last year and it is due to debut on France 3 and ABC in Australia this year, with sales also confirmed in the Nordic countries.

PPC Enterprises, which holds merchandising and licensing rights in the brand, has signed Martin Yaffe for Pinky and Perky toys that are set to hit the market in autumn/winter 2009. The range includes a megaphone, Pinky and Perky walkie-talkie headsets, a sing-a-long microphone, joke sets, inflatable chairs and a remote-controlled car.

A Nintendo DS game is launching soon and Pinky and Perky are set for a live stage show, produced by Fiery Light.

"'The Pinky and Perky Show' only launched at the end of last year but it is rapidly developing into a phenomenon—not only is the show being repeated across the BBC, but the new DVD is available and there is plenty of interest from potential licensees," says Mark Hurry, PPCE legal and commercial director. "These pigs are going places."
