Contender Merchandising's deal with Pinnacle Software for the first videogame for Peppa Pig has come to fruition. Peppa Pig - The Game launches on Nintendo DS at the end of this month. A Wii game will follow early in 2009.
Pinnacle Software will be supporting the release with a marketing campaign including television advertising, print advertising and advertorials in children's and women's magazines, in-store promotions and a PR campaign covering TV, online, national and regional newspapers, radio and magazines.
"Interactive videogames are a huge entertainment medium enjoyed by children of all ages and a natural home for Peppa Pig," says Andrew Carley, head of merchandising at Contender Entertainment Group, "enabling children everywhere to interact with these hugely popular characters like never before."
