“Peppa Pig” already has a strong following among children in Spain and Italy on the free-to-air channels RTVE and RAI (respectively).

“The deal with Disney Junior demonstrates our commitment to working with world-class broadcast partners and underlines our strategy to secure broadcasters for ‘Peppa Pig’ in all major territories to ensure the success of the brand internationally,” says Joss Duffield, head of international TV sales, eOne Family.

Plans are underway to launch Peppa Pig merchandise in Spain at the end of this year with 15 licensing partners on board including Bandai as well as apparel and publishing partners.

In Italy, eOne is lining up a strong roster of licensees including Universal as the brand’s DVD partner and Giunti Editores for publishing.
