
Penguin Children’s Books U.K. has signed Activision Publishing for a series of books and apps based on "Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure," which was the best-selling kid’s video game of 2011, according to NPD.

“Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure is such an innovative and exciting brand for kids aged six and older as it has everything a kid could wish for–mythical worlds, collectible figurines, portal masters and the opportunity to be a hero," says Eric Huang, publishing director, media and Entertainment, Penguin Children’s Books. "Our publishing program aims to expand the Skylanders universe and helps position the brand as the No. 1 boy brand of 2012.”
