The trademarks have been symbols of New York since they were introduced over a century ago and are part of an existing licensing program appearing on apparel, die-cast and accessories with success at retail across the world.
Golden Goose will look for U.K. manufacturers and retailers to take the NYC brands into adult and kids apparel, gift sets and paper goods.
"New York is an idea as much as a great city with an international reputation for cool, urban, authenticity," says Mara Gardner, account director at Golden Goose. "These trademarks offer retailers a chance to reach out to a young urban population with a range of exciting products. We are already talking to a number of potential retailers and licensees."
