Viacom International Media Networks Asia has expanded its partnership with Star Cruises to launch Nickelodeon at Sea cruises in Asia.

Building on 2011’s SpongeBob at Sea cruises, Nickelodeon at Sea will offer an expanded Nick experience.

The cruises will host a wide range activities featuring the characters from the Nickelodeon shows “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Dora the Explorer” and “Go, Diego! Go!” including themed rooms, meals and souvenirs. Activities will include character meet-and-greets, afternoon tea events, arts and crafts programs, treasure hunts and chances to get covered in Nick slime.

“Based upon the success of 2011’s SpongeBob at Sea with Star Cruises, it became clear that there is strong demand to create richer family-friendly, at-sea experiences for passengers,” says Indra Suharjono, executive vice president and managing director, Viacom International Media Networks Asia. “Launching Nickelodeon at Sea and leveraging our audiences’ passion for Nickelodeon characters creates a unique customer offering in the tourism marketplace, one that is bound to have kids of all ages excited.”

The series of 55 Nickelodeon at Sea cruises will kick off Nov. 11 from Penang, Malaysia, with additional itineraries available out of Singapore later in the month.
