SpongeBob SquarePants has scooped up a number of new deals in emerging markets, signed by Nickelodeon Consumer Products International.

Licensee C-Trade has signed a deal covering Armenia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine. The deal is for sports equipment and accessories, including bicycles, ride-on cars, tennis sets and playing tents. Targeted to kids ages 5 and up, the ranges will be sold in retailers such as Auchan, Metro, Real, Detskii Mir, Dochki Sinochki, Korablik and Deti.

In Turkey and Northern Cyprus, Unilever has renewed its deal for toothpaste in the region. Retailers signed up for the product are Tansas, Migros, Carrefour, Real and Metro.

Covering Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, licensee Pentra has signed SpongeBob SquarePants for a range of bags, backpacks, badges, charms, mobile cases, clocks, lamps, mugs and stationery. Retailers stocking the products include Auchan, Smyk and Biedronka.
