Nickelodeon Consumer Products' SpongeBob SquarePants recently partnered with Upper Deck for a Pan-European deal. A new iPhone app based on the character has also released.

In the deal, Upper Deck will produce SpongeBob-branded Spongi, a type of colorful, lightweight paste that can be bounced, stretched and molded. The product will be available this fall in Benelux, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iberia and the U.K. at specialty and mass market retailers.

Meanwhile, Nickelodeon has released the SpongeBob's Krusty Komics iPhone app, which includes one comic and one game as a free download. Additional comics and games can be bought. Thirteen comics are available in English, German and Japanese.

In Nick broadcast news, a number of live-action program sales have been secured in Asia, Europe and Latin America, including "iCarly" for Albania's Digit-Alb, China's SMG, Iceland's 365 media, Bulgaria's TV Seven, Costa Rica's Teletica, Colombia's City TV and Hondoras' TV Hondurena; "True Jackson"

for Albania's Digit-Alb; "Zoey 101" for Italy's Mediaset; and "The Troop" for Georgia's Telelmedi.
