Nickelodeon Consumer Products has arranged the first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants retail promotion in Russia, brokered through Plus Licens. Russian toy store Korablik, which has more than 50 stores in the Moscow area, will run the promotion May 13-29.
Products include plush from C-Trade, PVC balls from John-Rus/John GmbH and personal care products from Cotton Club. The campaign will also include dedicated point-of-sale materials, meet-and-greet character appearances and digital banners on the Nickelodeon website.
"SpongeBob SquarePants is not only one of the highest rated Nickelodeon shows of all time but also an international licensing and merchandising mega hit,” says Nicholas Walters, senior director and country manager for Russia, Emerging Markets at Viacom International Media Networks. “We are happy to expand our consumer products offering in Russia and CIS and get this property even closer to SpongeBob fans on this competitive marketplace, so they can access their favorite brand whenever, wherever and however they want."
