Nickelodeon and the National Football League have announced a second installment of their Nicktoons series, “NFL Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians,” the first-ever original animated series developed by a major U.S. sports league and a cable network.

The series is based on NFL Rush Zone, a virtual role-playing game for kids.

“NFL Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians” will premiere on Nicktoons in November and follows Ishmael and his friends as they protect the NFL’s 32 teams and the world from a master villain.

A variety of NFL players and coaches will voice their own animated personas in each episode.
